Record Players

One of my Christmas presents was a record player - it is honestly the greatest thing I have ever had the joy of owning. I don't know how I managed to survive thirteen and a half years without a record player. I mean, seriously. This thing is freaking amazing.
The two albums I got were 1989 (by Taylor Swift) and Made In The A.M. (by One Direction). The day after, my parents decided to be really nice and bought me X (by Ed Sheeran) and Four (by One Direction). A few days after, my mom and I were at the mall and I bought Red (By Taylor Swift). Though I do love these albums - I've been playing them on repeat since Christmas - I really hope to add Sounds Good Feels Good (by 5 Seconds of Summer) to my collection, along with the other albums by Taylor Swift (Taylor Swift, Fearless and Speak Now), One Direction (Up All Night, Take Me Home and Midnight Memories) and 5 Seconds of Summer (5 Seconds of Summer and LIVESOS) that I'm missing.
If you like music and are into having physical objects such as records, you should definitely invest in a record player. Buying music digitally is definitely a lot cheaper than buying a record - albums on iTunes are usually between ten to fifteen dollars, but records are usually twenty-five to thirty (at Urban Outfitters and Newbury Comics, at least) - but the sound quality is also a lot different.
Personally, I love being able to hold things in my hands (I also have a Polaroid camera). I like the feel of having a record in my hands. I like being able to watch it spin. I like having to actually move my hands to play songs, as opposed to just tapping my phone's screen (not that I don't love my iPhone - I swear we're soulmates).
